Definitely keeping a watchful eye on NVK. I gave up on hoping Nvidia would make decent drivers long ago (Wayland support is still heavily lacking).
They added parts of reclocking to the Kernel, The only downside is i think it was for 2000? and newer cards.
They still have also Maxwell and older support too

Because this news story is annoying to me, because it says just about everything I think I have to think about how awful it is to use Linux and have an NVIDIA graphics card. What am I supposed to do? Kiss somebody’s ass? Are you here to kiss somebody’s ass or something? Am I supposed to be all grateful to the open-source people? Suck up to the open-source driver developers? No, thanks. They have done what they have done because, what? Oh yeah, because NVIDIA is a dick wad. So, whoopty fucking doo. I suck up to no one.

If it’s so annoying why not just block the sub? Open source isn’t inherently bad or good.
You sound like you’ve gotta unplug a bit because this is clearly bothering you a lot, go enjoy your games the way you want to.
I was just expressing my opinion. Is my opinion that bad, really? I’m sorry. I use Linux and I really am annoyed with NVIDIA. I’m not about to suck up to anybody. Not kissing your ass, or NVIDIA’s ass, or anybody contributing code to any open source project, unless they’re hot and buy me drinks. Otherwise, I am so jaded it’s really a thing to discuss at length, which we will never do because you’re nobody to me.
