His Twitter feed aside, what do you think of Day’s essay, Masses, Elites, and Rebels: The Theory of “Brainwashing”? It’s at least in the running for being this website’s favorite text that isn’t by Michael Parenti, and I personally think it’s probably the most insightful essay I’ve ever read.
I like his work. He’s a sharp guy, just unfortunately a very bitter and condescending person. That’s not the kind of personality we need on the left, so I hope he gets his act together. Gotta win hearts as well as minds.
It’s sort of ironic given the empathy and non-condecension advocated for in the essay, but it is what it is

What do you think about revolutionary unions, as opposed to mainstream unions? Have you joined any? What do you think of the CNT squabbling?
Not super familiar with them. Based on the label I’d assume they’re a good thing, I’m all for anything revolutionary. Not familiar with CNT
Revolutionary unions is a kind of broad label to refer to things like the FAU, the IWW, CNT and a few others. A lot of them are members of the IWA or the ICL. The CNT is the union that did Revolutionary Catalonia, but they split between the ICL CNT and CNT-IWA.
What is your favorite American city?
Chattanooga! In fact I’m thinking about moving there

I think it has the right balance of walkability (as much as that’s a thing in the US), nature, city life, and population

Very limited experience. I have a Steam Deck, and it’s based on Linux, but that’s about it

What are some of the orgs you are a part of?
Just CPUSA at the moment, though I’ve spoken at a couple DSA meetings. I don’t like to go too hard with any one group because I don’t want people to feel like that’s the only option for them to join. I like to see people join whatever org is in their area, or whichever one resonates the most with them
What do you think of Chompsky?
He’s like 3 people in one man: an anti-imperialist ‘tankie’ (See his views on the Khmer Rouge et modern-day China) , a liberal (his electoralism and anti-communism) , and an Anarchist (in philosophy)…

Even stuff like suspecting your phones, computers, etc. are passively listening, watching, keylogged, etc., people following you or your family
Not to my knowledge, which means either they’re doing a good job or they just don’t care to keep pestering some random YouTuber
