These are Extra games. Essential has 3 this month: The Callisto Protocol, Farming Simulator 22, Weird West
Damn, I’ve been bamboozled again (╯°□°）╯︵ ┻━┻ I keep confusing Extra and Essential, why couldn’t they have come up with a better name?
I was thinking they’d use:
Bronze: just the account Silver: “Essential” 3 free games a month Gold: “Extra” game library Platinum: “Premium” game streaming and classics
That would have been a lot easier to be able to distinguish them from each other. Plus, it lines up with the trophy types and keeps in line with the Playstation console theme
Elite: Dangerous is an interesting pick, considering the devs have abandoned console development.
Last month, one of the PS Plus Essential games of the month was by a developer that went out of business a few days before the game went live.
Its sorta comparable, but Saint’s Row was a finished single player game that could maybe be updated one day otherwise, while E:D is a game that will be lacking several months (years?) of content, being an online game that is in constant development
