I am once again advocating for limited, targeted federation of instances that can be broken loose from the intense jingoism we’re about to experience as a human global population.

Their absolute refusal to provide examples of “hate speech” really betrays that they don’t want to admit what they consider to be hate speech because they know people will find it fucking silly, which it is.

Their admins are not thin-skinned, or at least that’s not why they do these things. They’re cynical and fascist. This is why they lie and fail to show receipts: if they grounded their claims in examples, they’d have to show the political decisions they’re making around what counts as “hate speech” (treating Palestinians as humans deserving liberation, for example) and what does not (calls for genocide against Palestinians).

I see the occasional good post on lemmy.world, there are anti-capitalist and anti-imperialist sentiments. It’s frustrating that we’re barred from chiming in, there are people who would listen.

It’s common, yes, and it’s grating to me. It’s grating to me because it’s generally used to mask emotional tone in a very tiresome “I’m totally not mad about whatever I’m about to say” smuglord way.

Hate speech is when you criticize Israeli colonialism and genocide according to Lemmy dot world.

They are aware that the majority of the world recognises the state of Palestine, right? The world is not Europe and the USA. Very ironic instance name.
