Sources on the fighting in Palestine against Israel. In general, CW for footage of battles, explosions, dead people, and so on:
UNRWA daily-ish reports on Israel’s destruction and siege of Gaza and the West Bank.

Various sources that are covering the Ukraine conflict are also covering the one in Palestine, like Rybar.
The Country of the Week is still Palestine, though we will switch next week to a new country.
Here is the map of the Ukraine conflict, courtesy of Wikipedia.

Resources For Understanding The War
Defense Politics Asia’s youtube channel and their map. Their youtube channel has substantially diminished in quality but the map is still useful.
Moon of Alabama, which tends to have interesting analysis. Avoid the comment section.
Understanding War and the Saker: reactionary sources that have occasional insights on the war.
Alexander Mercouris, who does daily videos on the conflict. While he is a reactionary and surrounds himself with likeminded people, his daily update videos are relatively brainworm-free and good if you don’t want to follow Russian telegram channels to get news. He also co-hosts The Duran, which is more explicitly conservative, racist, sexist, transphobic, anti-communist, etc when guests are invited on, but is just about tolerable when it’s just the two of them if you want a little more analysis.
On the ground: Patrick Lancaster, an independent and very good journalist reporting in the warzone on the separatists’ side.
Unedited videos of Russian/Ukrainian press conferences and speeches.
Telegram Channels
Again, CW for anti-LGBT and racist, sexist, etc speech, as well as combat footage.
Pro-Russian
https://t.me/aleksandr_skif ~ DPR’s former Defense Minister and Colonel in the DPR’s forces. Russian language.
https://t.me/Slavyangrad ~ A few different pro-Russian people gather frequent content for this channel (~100 posts per day), some socialist, but all socially reactionary. If you can only tolerate using one Russian telegram channel, I would recommend this one.
https://t.me/s/levigodman ~ Does daily update posts.
https://t.me/patricklancasternewstoday ~ Patrick Lancaster’s telegram channel.
https://t.me/gonzowarr ~ A big Russian commentator.
https://t.me/rybar ~ One of, if not the, biggest Russian telegram channels focussing on the war out there. Actually quite balanced, maybe even pessimistic about Russia. Produces interesting and useful maps.
https://t.me/epoddubny ~ Russian language.
https://t.me/boris_rozhin ~ Russian language.
https://t.me/mod_russia_en ~ Russian Ministry of Defense. Does daily, if rather bland updates on the number of Ukrainians killed, etc. The figures appear to be approximately accurate; if you want, reduce all numbers by 25% as a ‘propaganda tax’, if you don’t believe them. Does not cover everything, for obvious reasons, and virtually never details Russian losses.
https://t.me/UkraineHumanRightsAbuses ~ Pro-Russian, documents abuses that Ukraine commits.
Pro-Ukraine
Almost every Western media outlet.
https://discord.gg/projectowl ~ Pro-Ukrainian OSINT Discord.
https://t.me/ice_inii ~ Alleged Ukrainian account with a rather cynical take on the entire thing.
Last week’s discussion post.
Al Jazeera:
Gaza right now
Israeli air raids have destroyed hundreds of buildings in the Gaza Strip overnight, the civil defence service in Gaza has said.
“Hundreds of buildings and houses were completely destroyed and thousands of other homes were damaged,” Mahmud Bassal, a spokesman for the Gaza Civil Defence told AFP, adding that the intense bombardments had “changed the landscape” of northern Gaza.Iran daily:
Russian News: Russia handed over a list of 8 Israeli Russians who are said to have been taken hostage in Gaza, Hamas is ready to release them.
Palestinian authorities are negotiating with Elon Musk’s Starlink to restore communications in the Gaza Strip

“Israel, being threatened by China’s dialogue for peace and ceasefire, chose to threaten China by cancelling the China-Israeli joint committee in technology cooperation, limit it’s trade with China, provocation in the South China Sea and endanger China’s water safety.”I know I won’t be able to sleep unless someone steps in. Just refreshing looking for a mention of HizbAllah or something…
AL JAZEERA:
We don’t know about anything that is happening in other districts in the territory. Maybe there are new bombardments taking place in these areas. We don’t know how many victims. We can only hear bombardments everywhere, but we don’t know any anything about the casualties, about the situation on the ground.
We don’t know anything also about the medical conditions of doctors, medical workers, even at the Al-Shifa Hospital [the largest in Gaza]. The situation is catastrophic right now. We can no longer communicate with the international community to send our voice to the world to know what is happening on the ground. I hope that this message might reach and have an access to the world despite what we have experienced throughout the last hour.
We are now in a hospital and we are going to be live by satellite as much as we can and every single hour. So please, if you can hear us, send that message to the world that we are isolated now in Gaza. We don’t have any phone signals. We don’t have any internet connections. We found great difficulty even to communicate and contact with our relatives in different parts of the territory.
Journalists here, even the citizens inside the hospital, they don’t have any access to the networks. They don’t have any kind of communication even with their neighbors. There is a great problem in the network connections. We don’t know how it’s dropped. We don’t know if it was targeted.
The situation on the ground is really terrible. Everyone is afraid, everyone is terrified. Please ,guys, if you can hear us send this message to the world that we are becoming isolated.
Al Jazeera currently only has sporadic communication with correspondents in Gaza following the latest strikes on the besieged enclave.
Al Jazeera: Exclusive footage shows bombardment near Indonesian Hospital
We have obtained exclusive footage showing intense bombardment in the vicinity of the Indonesian Hospital, in the northern Gaza Strip.
The bombing this morning took place as dozens of residents were at the facility. The verified footage also showed the arrival of a number of bodies and efforts by officials to identify those killed.
We’re working to bring you more.Palestine Resist:
[Communications blackout.]
Most violent and unprecedented bombing seen since the beginning of the aggression. Belts of fire are used across the entire strip, focused on the north. Massive bombs are being dropped by many planes targeting homes, neighborhoods, and infrastructure.

Al Jazeera:
‘Omissions of evil’: More from the US ambassador
“As you’ve noticed, two keywords are missing from the resolution before us. The first is ‘Hamas’. It is outrageous that this resolution fails to name the perpetrators of the October 7 terrorist attack.
“Another key word missing in this resolution is ‘hostage’. This resolution makes no mention of the innocent people, including citizens of many of you here today.
“These are omissions of evil and they give cover to and they empower Hamas’s brutality. And no member state should allow that to happen. That is why we have co-sponsored an amendment by Canada that corrects these glaring omissions; this amendment is straightforward and is unobjectionable.”60,000 people are sheltering at Al Shifa hospital, and Israel just released some fake recording saying it is Hamas HQ.

Iran Daily 24:
Hebrew Channel 12: Israel is planning to start ground operations in the Gaza Strip by abandoning the negotiations for the release of the hostages.
Conflicting news from Israel and Gaza / BBC report: A source close to the mediation talks said that negotiations to agree on a ceasefire and complete the hostage exchange agreement between the two sides have been accelerated with Qatari mediation.
According to an Egyptian source, Hamas’ offer to release less than a hundred hostages in exchange for a five-day ceasefire is in favor of organizing and discussing a longer ceasefire; According to the Egyptians, Israel’s position is more rigid, insisting on the release of all abductees in exchange for a much shorter cessation of hostilities to provide humanitarian aid.
Israeli army spokesman: In recent hours, we have increased the attacks in Gaza, the air force is significantly attacking underground targets.
The ground force is expanding ground activities from this evening.
Al Jazeera:
Crypto firms not doing enough to stop ‘illicit finance’: US
The United States says some companies in the digital-asset space are not doing enough to stop the flow of illicit finance – a subject that has come under renewed scrutiny during the Israeli war on Gaza.
US Deputy Treasury Secretary Wally Adeyemo, speaking at an event in London, said the “vast majority” of financial institutions want to help root out “terrorist” financing.
But, he added, “There are those, especially [in] the digital asset space, who wish to innovate without regards to its consequences, including protecting against illicit finance.”
“Our expectation is that financial institutions and digital asset companies and others in the virtual currency ecosystem take steps to prevent terrorists from being able to access resources. If they do not act to prevent illicit financial flows, the United States and our partners will,” Adeyemo said.I’m just curious… has anyone found anything?
