The far right is mad at Mike Johnson for suggesting that his adopted black son was treated differently than his biological white son.

It’s become a scandal for the alt right to find out that a public official ISN’T racist. How dare he love his black son and see his struggles?

Post-Trump America can’t come fast enough. Sanity needs to be restored.

Article is written to convince you that the extreme right doesn’t like him, which is false, to get more of the centre right on board by thinking he’s somewhat moderate

I am absolutely in love with the show about the Fascist party ripping itself apart, I am appalled by the carnage left in it’s wake. The no-true-scottsmanism that is showing is just another sign that the divide is getting deeper. If you ever said anything, thought anything, voted for anything, or posted anything that doesn’t toe the party line exactly you owe a debt forever. That is what it’s about though, what can I hold over you to control you.

He’s really far right, a Jim Jordan acolyte. The MAGA wing is extremely happy with him. This is just some guy being extra racist, doesn’t make Johnson a moderate or anything.

That’s kind of the story, though.

The modern GOP has such intense, strict purity tests that no one can satisfy them anymore. Pointing out an uncontroversial fact about the real world – for example, that his black son is going to face more challenges than his white son because of unfairness built into society – is enough to potentially crucify him even when he’s otherwise a extremist.

Just another clear indication of the fascism that is cornerstone to their movement.

It’s not just one critic though, it’s several of the more prominent right-wing media personalities. I doubt it has legs, but it’s scary to see how much vitriol they have against this guy who ticks 99% of their boxes.

Really? Even acknowledging racism makes you a Democrat now?

This guy is extremist right on every issue, but he has one selfish bit of realization because of his son and he’s a traitor to them.

Yes. They’re fascists. They’re the ultimate tribal bros. They’d start a fistfight with you if you had the wrong favorite color and caught them in a bad mood… They’re ONLY selfish pricks who want their way. That is the ONLY true constant with them.

You’re either with them 100% or you’re against them 100%. Trump sycophants require full loyalty and anyone who dares question their narrative is branded a commie.

This is really just a preview of what’s to come as Republicans have been and intend to continue attacking freedom of speech and expression.

Yep. They won’t be content with having their stupid agenda and view being overly represented like it already is (see the House and SCOTUS - wildly out of step with the American people, and the cons think that is somehow a working system), many of them want to silence any and all dissent. Even if that means extreme violence.

They won’t admit it (publicly), but I think the biggest betrayal for most of them is that he adopted a black kid. “Conservatives” as they stand now are irredeemable…

Oh, look, a republican who doesn’t have compassion unless he has experienced similar adversity! Imagine that!

None of these people care about anyone who they don’t have a personal relationship with but, as soon as something impacts someone they care about, they suddenly have compassion. And, of course, the rest of the discompassionate right wingers condemn him for having even that little bit of self interested compassion.

This article is obviously trying to get people to kind of like him because he’s not as bad as those other guys.

      • He’s a traitor and an insurrectionist
      • He hates and/or wants to control half of our population
      • He wouldn’t hesitate to bend the law in his favor
      • He thinks he’s been appointed by his christian god (yikes).

All of that needs to be seen when you see his name. Not that he said kind things once or twice.

        And

Every. Single. Republican. Voted for him to become speaker.

This guy actively tried to overthrow the government multiple ways during and after January 6th. He’s far more MAGA than McCarthy.

There are no moderate Republicans anymore. Not even 5 of them. This guy’s policy stances should be tied to every Republican in the house because literally all of them support him.

Sure is! It probably won’t work for a little bit, though. He needs to either do something terrible that the moderates can’t stomach or something reasonable that the far right thinks is too woke before he’ll lose that vote I think. Republicans are too embarrassed to kick him out just yet.
