It’s the only browser we can use in my office, so have gotten pretty used to it. It’s honestly not that bad, they’ve come a long way since the IE days.
It’s not my home-use browser, but it’s absolutely serviceable.
Yeah… it’s Chrome now
It’s chrome but with ram management. Microsoft solved the issue somehow, so edge with 1000 tabs doesn’t big things down like chrome with 1000 tabs does.
This is just a recycled IE meme. Edge is much better than IE, but not as good as FF.
winget install Mozilla.Firefox
Just saying, you can ignore their existence entirely.
First, last and only thing you’ll ever do Edge!
Edge is Chromium based, so I discourage using it as your main browser, but honestly, it’s not that bad. Works fine and has some nice built-in features, so there are perfectly good use cases for it
I use MS Edge on my steam deck and phone in addition to my desktop
Meanwhile me in Linux systems that come with Firefox: “You only exist to install Microsoft Edge”
One might say regarding use cases, this is an Edge case.
I’ll see myself out.
That’s like the old “internet explorer, #1 browser… to download other browsers”
Can someone explain what is the benefit to Microsoft for having their own browser?
winget install Mozilla.Firefox
This is the way
Invoke-Webrequest “https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/” -Outfile c:\temp\firefoxinstaller.exe
Firefox comes pre-installed in my OS :)
Psh, don’t even need that, just use a package manager
What Windows package manager? 😂
You can do it with winget: winget install Mozilla.Firefox
Usedit on the rare instance where FF is borked for one reason or another. Like e-signatures sometimes just refused to work on FF for me.
