It’s the only browser we can use in my office, so have gotten pretty used to it. It’s honestly not that bad, they’ve come a long way since the IE days.

It’s not my home-use browser, but it’s absolutely serviceable.

It’s chrome but with ram management. Microsoft solved the issue somehow, so edge with 1000 tabs doesn’t big things down like chrome with 1000 tabs does.

This is just a recycled IE meme. Edge is much better than IE, but not as good as FF.

Just saying, you can ignore their existence entirely.

Edge is Chromium based, so I discourage using it as your main browser, but honestly, it’s not that bad. Works fine and has some nice built-in features, so there are perfectly good use cases for it

One might say regarding use cases, this is an Edge case.

    I’ll see myself out.

That’s like the old “internet explorer, #1 browser… to download other browsers”

Can someone explain what is the benefit to Microsoft for having their own browser?

      Data collection.

What they do with that data? Nobody outside MS will ever know…

Edit: just found this page and this one, see section “How does Orion respect my online privacy”, but in summary, Edge has double of Firefox’s requests to home…

Usedit on the rare instance where FF is borked for one reason or another. Like e-signatures sometimes just refused to work on FF for me.
