    That article had a great visualization of the satellite data. That positive aside, it’s not all that surprising to see this happen if the company can claim that the land is in the process of regenerating and still absolve themselves of responsibility.

    The Forest Landscape Restoration Handbook advocates an approach in which indigenous peoples, the rest of the local population, and the non-/governmental agencies have equal seats at the table when addressing restoration goals and plans. It would be amazing to see what you all could do, given stakeholder status for the long term.

    Maybe all the lumberjack wankers upset by the loss of logging can get a job undoing the harm they’ve caused our country.

      It’s a lot harder to recreate than destroy. I’ve done both. I’ll take the easy option every time, as is the Australian way.
