No but seriously, when will you Americans stop just saying “don’t vote blue” and start to mobilize to get a third party in play? It’s ought to happen at some point, right? Letting the facists win isn’t exactly the right answer either…

We would literally have to stage a revolt because there is no way our system would allow a third party to actually be functionally a threat to our current capitalist duopoly of “Blue Team vs Red Team”.

I need a weimar history buff to help me understand this, wasn’t the United Front only created after the “failure” of Comintern’s social fascism theory, where the KPD opposed both the SPD and Nazis equally? (I put failure in quotes because I’m not sure if it actually failed or not)

Or is this meme referring to the earlier 1919 revolution, which was backstabbed by libs?

The social fascism line was because it was the SPD that crushed the 1919 revolution not the libs. Friedrich Ebert and the higher ups in the SPD used the Freikorps to crush the revolution and assassinate Luxemburg and Liebknecht.

I am guessing that the meme has in mind Hindenburg appointing Hitler as Chancellor and the liberal party voting for giving emergency powers to Hitler, post Reichstag fire.

I am talking about liberal liberals not succdems. Dems are not even succdems. I remember spd being the first one to take a side against commies with 3 arrows then commies returned aggression. Even then, at least they actually opposed fascism unlike libs

The fascists in America seem like they’re an equal threat if a Democrat is in power or not. Other than very local politics, every American politician is on the same team the same way cops are all on the same team. The two sides are theater.
