Water is the goat but have you ever jad a soda pop made botanically? Modern soda is just synth flavors and sugar, but it used to be flavored with actual spices. It’s harder to find, but if you can find a truly classic soda brand it absolutely slaps modern corn syrup shit out of the universe
Imagine tasting cola, except it actually has a deep flavor palette and isn’t cloyingly sweetened subsidized corn liquid
Not as good as Reddit CEO’s tears
If one of the few ingredients listed is cane sugar, and no corn syrup in sight, you’re in for a delicious, probably better for you*, treat.

Where is (real)juice though? Feel that should be at maybe C? And if softdrinks are f, where is Redbull?
Redbull is just below vodka, but they mostly overlap.
Redbull is off the chart.

Water is A tier. Sparkling water is S tier.
Drinking water gives me acid reflux, always has. Which is weird because fanta is a lot more acidic and doesn’t do that.
There’s common misconseption that higher acid in your stomach causes acid reflux, however it is actually the oposite. There’s sphincter in your esophagus which contracts when there’s enough acidity and opens when there’s lack of. So when you are having bad reflux, try increasing your stomach acid by either chewing gum, eating sour or eating something bitter. Avoid drinking large amount of water after heavy meals, since you are diluting acid. Also less smoking and drinking helps (quitting smoking really helped for me. Those over the counter tablets containing carbonate salts actually make it even worse, since they neutralize stomach acid, when you want to increase it. Protein pump inhibitors, such as ranitidine block production of stomach acid completely, however it really messes up with your protein intake. Common pain killers, such as ibuprofen, aspirin mess with yiur stomach too
Does it burn? If I drink cold water, I tend to get esophageal spasms. My heart to my jaw gets this tension and pain, but it doesn’t burn. It tends to be worse with normal sipping amounts rather than chugging like a hamster. It can happen with beer but for whatever reason, soda never causes it for me. Probably something about the drink rate or usually having soda at room temp. Not trying to tell you how your body works, just offering up info no one I know knows about.
Yes it burns at the plexus and throat. I find it less so when I filter the (bottled) water in a brita filter (cartridged filters) but then it tastes funny. So I actually never drink water.
What is even weirder if I drink those water bottle with a slight hint of flavor, no reflux. Might be a mental problem?
I don’t experience what you have.
Great, but where does flavored sparkling water fall on this list?
Upper F
At least same tier as regular water. Possibly a higher tier. Shits like crack.
RC needs to be higher.
No doubt?
Oh hey, it’s just a girl.
I kinda always knew she’d end up my ex girlfriend, and that shit was bananas. B-A-N-A-N-A-S. Don’t speak, I know just what you’re thinking. It didn’t happen. Well. You’re right. It didn’t.
God, I wish I could stop but I just can’t.
They made a song about bananas. They spell it out and everything.
Um… uh… uh… Spiderwebs Hella Good Simple Kind of Life?
I’m bad at this. :(
apfelschorle should be at least an A-Tier as well - best drink besides water, especially when you want some variety at some point.
No way in hell you hate all soda pop equally
I drink 50% regular water, 50% herbal teas. Never drank sodas, if you’re not used to them they taste far too sweet. I used to drink a lot of coffee, but I have quit caffeine completely, with 1 exception. I drink 1 cup of coffee the day after my night shifts, because this helps me feel ok that day. If you don’t drink coffee regularly you notice two things when you do: 1. it’s very very bitter. 2. the effect of caffeine is really quite strong. I feel like I’m on drugs that day. After quitting coffee I got a little bit bored with just water, I missed drinking something warm, so I started with herbal teas. I now have a large collection of herbs and I started to appreciate all these different tastes.
I’ve been reducing my sugar intake and recently fully quit caffeine. I was never big on sodas but I recently had one at a work lunch because it was the only option available and it was shocking how overly sweet it seemed
Yup, same thing with people who drink sugar in their coffee, than quit this habit for a little while and then add sugar once: suddenly you taste how incredibly sweet it becomes and how different the taste is and you can’t imagine how you’ve been drinking that shit for so long. You get used to sugar very very quickly and things with less sugar will become unappetizing.
Well made coffee should not be bitter
Coffee is bitter. There’s shit coffee that’s pretty much only bitter and nothing else, but any coffee will have bitterness.
Though I agree that “very very bitter” sounds like bad coffee.
If you don’t drink bitter things regularly, then normal coffee tastes very bitter, especially if you are more sensitive to bitter taste.
Exactly, that was the point. The same coffee didn’t taste bitter to me before, but after not drinking coffee for a month or so it did.
About a gallon and a half of low-alcoholic beer for me every day for the past some thirty years. Keeps me healthy, virile, and my teeth clean.
I carbonate my own water and drink lots of tea
Really? How? Keg and c02? Do you add anything, like citric acid? Im a home brewer, I’ve got a kegerator set up with 3 kegs. I want to do one with carbonated water some time
Why on earth would you want to carbonate your water? Fizzy water is just bad.
It’s pretty normal. I’m american, it’s common here with a little bit of flavor, but the unflavored or very light flavored ones are my favorite. In Europe a lot of times if you ordered water at a restaurant you would have to order “still water” or you would get sparkling water.
Edit: in the German speaking countries and countries around Germany anyway
Years ago when I visited Germany (a hotel in Heidelberg), there happened to be another American in front of me at the hotel. He asked for water. The young woman behind the counter, knowing he was American from his language and accent, said: “Would you like any gasoline in your water?”
He was very confused, and I couldn’t contain myself, bursting out in laughter. I stepped in and explained, she meant to say “gas” and was asking if he wanted still water or bubbly water. She knew most Americans didn’t drink carbonated water, at least then – a few years later brands like La Croix would sweep the country’s soccer moms all over the States.
We Americans think it’s funny but then I remember that these people know multiple languages and of course someone is going to get a word wrong here and there.
I also remember the four of us at dinner getting served waters and the waitress was saying “please” as she sat down each one on the coaster on the table. Which my understanding is that she was translating ‘bitte’ to English and that word has many meanings, one of them meaning please but can be used when your hand something over, if I’m not mistaken.
I am well aware that the Germans think tap water is poisonous, but that’s Germany. They aren’t quite right in the head. The best water is straight out of the tap. Although I understand that in some places it tastes like pee. But in that case why not just buy still water?
I drink plenty of tap water… I also like carbonated. different tastes I guess? Just because you don’t like it doesn’t mean others don’t.
This one is my favorite, but another good one is Topo Chico
Sin gas por favor.
Something like a SodaStream. https://sodastream.de/
I’ve got a plain older countertop device with mini CO2 cartridges (with a cheap exchange program) for now. I am redoing my living room and study soon and will get a kegarator soon so I have it on tap.
I don’t need the flavors infused. But if I’m feeling fancy I’ll add a slice of lime or lemon, or both (usually when I need to use the rest of one after making dinner). Although it is my understanding this is certainly possible, adding flavours/syrups or what not.
Soda stream is just a CO2 bottle on cold water. It carbonates after an hour or so, or if you shake it.
A better option imo is to buy a big tank of C02 and connect it to a big tank of cold water which in turn has a tap. You probably have all that!
https://tasteofartisan.com/how-to-make-carbonated-water/
I personally found the taste of plain cold carbonated water… actually good on its own. Otherwise you can add flavor like a canned seltzer would have.
I have a CO2 canister with a diy bottle cap. I use regular coke bottles for carbonating the water. It tastes good, but it is still destructive for your teeth.
Yes I do have all of that, I may fill one of my 5 gallon kegs with just plain water and see how it goes. Thanks!
Well??
My kegs are full of beer! A barleywine, a oatmeal porter and a ESB. I will probably try it in the summer when they are empty and it’s too hot to brew
Milk a tier
Water is S, Milk is A, and Beer might be D tier. It’s bad for you like the drinks in F tier, but you at least catch a buzz.

Milk G tier
most humans cant drink milk, humans are the only species that drinks milk as adults, humans are the only species to drink another species’ milk. milk involves raping and killing cows. F tier
raping cows? what?!?!?!
Mammals produce milk for their offspring. Dairy farmers have to keep their dairy cows pregnant and having babies constantly so they continue producing milk. This involves bulls inseminating the cows or more commonly non-consensual artificial insemination. Either could be considered rape. I guess an ethical farmer could only choose to opportunistically collect extra milk at times when their cows have given birth and after the calf has drank their fill, but that’s not how it happens at large dairy farms.
Oh yeah because the bulls in the in the wild ask the cows for permission -_-
Letting nature do its thing is a whole lot different than humans doing a similar act. We generally don’t condone cruelty to animals in lab environments or everyday life, even though predators maul and maim other species all the time.
And the inseminated cows goes “o fuck, I’m late again! I can’t go thought this again. my career will go to shit”.
i always thought domesticated cows were bred to produce milk all the time. i will search a little to know more about that
edit: i have searched and dairy farming indeed works the way the person i replied to said it worked. to add, that can be done so much to a single cow it can cause diseases and infections on the cow
edit2: i forgot to say that those things dont count as rape, since rape means forcing a person to do sexual things without their consent, so by letting a bull do the work i feel its completely fine. artificial insemination is a different story, and i just seriously dont want to think about it
This involves bulls inseminating the cows or more commonly non-consensual artificial insemination
Animals aren’t capable of consenting to anything. They lack both the communication capabilities and the mental facilities to make the kind of decisions that are involved in any kind of consent. This is similar to how the severely mentally disabled are unable to consent and must instead have a caretaker give medical consent.
I’ll concede that animal farming practices are generally difficult to justify and align with our modern morals, but farm animals can and often are treated with a level of respect to quality of life that is not far from some pets, just with the added expectation that they also provide for us.
Yes, I was leaving that exercise for the reader and you hit it out of the park. Being unable to consent, any sexual act performed on them by an able-minded adult human is rape.
Ah yes, gotta fuck then kill the cow to get me some delicious potassium soup
Some of the points check out others are like WTF?
Milk is below F tier.
Milk can kill me putting it in S tier
When you think about it, everything on that list can kill you.
Milk S tier. Same with good pussy.
