Stupid people always say no
I accidentally deleted a service in prod yesterday
so, yes
someone else could, thankfully
(after ignoring my frantic teams messages for the longest hour of my life)
Just press X to close the window
Yup, just walk away… or answer ‘no’ since smart folks don’t always say ‘yes’
!important
First of all, where’s the proof for the assertation that stupid people answer no? Secondly, how do you operationalise stupid? And finally, is the best person to adjudicate whether a given person is stupid really themself?
You can always just say no, since the condition is “always say no”.
@sepiroth154
Indeed. 😄 You’re the first to catch it 😄
That’s an A for AAA.
<>Yes
~(Not)
NULL
Depends if I’m the one that’s always lying or the one always telling the truth.
Negative
“no” =/= “No”
For a bunch of programers, I can’t believe you all missed that.
Touché, smarty pants
Stupid people always say no. There are no rules given for what smart people say. One could answer no to the question and the stupid people rule may not be applicable.
The only right answer
Also, “Stupid people always say ‘No’” is an incorrect statement. Only a Sith deals in absolutes!
There is no try, only do or do not!
All !do is do not (!do); all do is do. [law of non-contradiction]. All try = do or !do [succeeds or fails, proven by observation]
Therefore, no try != Not (do or !do)
Therefore try is a useless term / there is no distinct “try” that is neither do nor do not.
One must do or do not; there is no try.
Quod Erat Demonstrandum
This is true only in hindsight though. You will always have done or not done even if you always set out to “do”. From this perspective it makes “don’t try” a little fatalistic, no?
Valid, but I do believe you’re overthinking a forced star wars pun…
Probably true
There is no say, only stupid or stupid not!
“Stupid people always say no” does not imply other people do any different.
Stupid people require oxygen to live.
Stupid people die in their lifetime
