This fake license plate is very aesthetically pleasing. Still don’t use fake license plates…

Insurance isn’t required for your car. It’s required to drive for everyone else’s car, and required for when the bank still owns your car, but not when it’s yours.

To clarify, since you’re getting down voted. You have to carry liability insurance in case you damage someone’s property or harm someone with your car. If you crashed in to someone, your insurance would pay for the damages to the person and their car, but your own car would require you to pay out of pocket. You can also get insurance to cover your own car, (which is sometimes required on leased/financed vehicles) which would cover damage to your car in the case of an uninsured or underinsured driver, weather, vandalism and more. I’m sure this is what you meant, but you didn’t say it in a way that made sense to a lot of people.

Taxes pay for roads. If you are a sovereign citizen, I don’t see why you would be allowed to use or park on them.

i can’t wait to impound this fucker and charge him $19.85 per foot of crash wrap to cover over his smashed window. And knowing my guys, they’ll use five feet very sloppily and overboard with lots of useless excess.

if we assume optimal conditions, as in, this dipshit is arrested within 2 miles of one of our impound yards, the very least amount this will cost him is $324.87, and that price goes up by $35.00 every rolling 24 hours.

if he doesn’t pay to get it back within 90 days, we’ll get a salvage title issued by the state registry of motor vehicles that transfers the ownership of the vehicle to us, then we’ll “auction” the vehicle off (which oftentimes means “selling” it to someone we like for dirt cheap) and subtract whatever meager chump change a secondary buyer was willing to pay sight-unseen from the outstanding bill and send the rest to collections. then he can rant about his sovereign citizenship to the collections agents that will be following him for years and years thereafter :3

        alas, we legally cannot 😭
the towing and storage rates are set by state law where we operate…
if it were possible to crank the price higher and get away with it, especially for fuckers who really deserve it, we would.
as just and right as it would be to no longer honor the protections of law over individuals who reject the law, it is not up to us.

This is why if I ever saw a tow truck driver in trouble, I’d just keep walking. Not worth the piss to put the fire out. I might start actively giving them shit when I see them on the road, tbh. I’m sure OP is going to come back with some hypermasculine BS in self-defense, but at the end of the day, they work at an impound lot so their opinion is basically inconsequential to anything I’ll ever do. :3

And that is why, the next time your car is in a ditch due to unforseen road conditions, you can expect to wait at least 4 hours before someone bothers to winch your car out, and charge you over six hundred dollars for the trouble.

If you were a pal worth helping out, maybe it could have gotten done faster. Maybe it could have been off the books. But hey. You shat that bed, you can lay in it buddy.

Or you can avoid trouble by staying the fuck home during inclement weather and keeping your insurance, registration, and license up to date so you never get arrested either and we never have any reason to interact with you. That way, we’ll all be happy. :p

In their make believe world, is stealing from a sovcitizen a crime? Since “the law” doesn’t apply and the cops “have no authority”, it sure looks like they’re walking around with “free loot”

People who claim they are not a member of any country. They resent the fact they were born into a country and automatically considered a citizen of that country without their consent and then bound by their rule. They get told by grifters and other delusion people that through legal loopholes and long forgotten legal jargon they can excuse themselves from the rule of goverment.

There is something to be said for not getting to choose your birth country and yadda yadda. However, typically these people still benefit from infrastructure and protections provided by the government while refusing to be comply with the rules that come along with it IE taxes, regulations, rules.

They are a loosely connected group of anti government right wing people who believe they don’t have to pay taxes or have license plates or driver’s licenses, and try to pay bills using magical paperwork. They are sincerely hilarious and the YouTube videos are a hell of a rabbit hole.

It varies by state. In Ohio it’s basically a fine and they take away your car, license, and registration until you get minimum liability insurance. That is

$25,000 for bodily injury per person $50,000 for bodily injury per accident $25,000 property damage

Where I am at, “Law enforcement officers may ask to see your insurance card during a traffic stop or at the scene of a car accident. If you can’t show proof that you have a policy, you may be charged with a Class C misdemeanor, which is punishable by a fine of $300. Additionally, the officer can choose to have your vehicle towed.Feb 14, 2024”

So if they tow your car for not having insurance your fees will likely go up fairly fast. Usually up to $150 towing plus a fee per day that it is there. Varies by area.

That’s cheap. Here it is a criminal offense, which can lead up to fines of 180 days of income, half a year behind bars, and loss of the driving license. Well, and of course this car cannot be driven anymore, so either you get it towed or you get an insurance voucher.
