Amazing! Memmy is great. It just needs some fun alternate icons now!
This app is amazing and the development has been so rapid, I can’t imagine how it is going to be in 30 days!
Pretty cool. It’s great to see so many clients on the market.
One minor feature I wish every iOS client had is better password manager integration. Normally on login forms, the app can provide a hint to the OS of what domain you’re logging in to; then when you click the password box, the password manager can suggest to autocomplete that domain’s password. Currently every time I set up a new app, I have to type
programming.devtwice. Once in the “which lemmy instance are you connecting to” box and once in LastPass’s search bar. It’s. A minor inconvenience, but I wonder if clients could pass along the lemmy URL to the password manager after I’ve typed it the first time.I don’t think they can, as is. The app itself has the url imbedded into it. The only way they could get it to work is by authenticating from a web page that indicates where it is.
Bitwarden for iOS is not detecting the username or password fields as credential fields. I believe the developer would need to implement Passsword AutoFill
Bitwarden detected the username field for me on iOS on my 13 Pro.
I just went back and added a second account, and you are 100% right! Bitwarden autofilled. I believe the initial login screen (when no accounts are added) is the problem area?
Sometimes I need to enter from the password input to get the bitwarden option. Happens on a handful of other apps on both iOS 16 and 17.
Didn’t auto detect the domain / app obviously but had no issue with filling fields with keeper after searching. Even put the 2FA code into the paste buffer for me.
The App Store is lame, wtf is this first search result.
Download the app and give it a 5 star rating…App Store will give it proper placement once there is some data to show it’s what people are looking for.

Memmy has been my go-to client for the last few weeks. It feels the most like Apollo, which is what I was going for when searching for a mobile client. There was some buzz a while ago about the Lemon app, but that developer seems to have just vanished with no word on any progress. I’m not locking myself into any app for now, I still want to see who can deliver the best quality this early on, but Memmy has been winning so far.
I love Memmy. Wefwef is good but Memmy feels so much more polished and nice. Plus I love the sunset theme as a nod to Apollo
Just loaded up Memmy and enjoying the sunset theme as well. I’m impressed so far.
Yeah I used sunset on Apollo and it really makes me feel at home
Memmy is my go-to as well. I’m gonna be waiting a few months and then trying out other clients to see how they’ve matured, and seeing if there’s any others I like more than Memmy.
As for the Lemon app, I may be misremembering things but I’m quite certain that they merged with another Lemmy client called Limbo and formed Liftoff for Lemmy.
Now THIS is what we need to see!
Now we have a UX option (and a good one at that!)

I installed the App Store version on my iPad so I could review it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Keeping the beta on my phone for the foreseeable future.
This post was mostly to connect the people who missed out on the beta.
Good idea with the iPad for review! I couldn’t get the formatting to work on my first post, but I wanted to emphasize that for people who are in the Test Flight group, it’ll be best to keep that version for a few days until the App Store version is updated to catch up. And then beyond that you can either stay Test Flight for beta, or App Store for stable.
You also were helping to point out the Memmy community. I should have linked that in the first place!

I think you can jump back and forth. Get it on the App Store version just to give it a review! I did this on my iPad and kept my iPhone on TestFlight.
