OK, so now I halfway-hope the vigilantes that try to do this will end up facing criminal charges for it

But, I also halfway-expect cops and prosecutors to look the other way if the victims of this kind of crime ends up being the kind of people they’d be disproportionately policing and convicting anyhow

For 99.9999 percent of them that will mean waiting on someone to do something while their sheep like nature keeps them from risking themselves.

Funny how they’re calling for riots instead of going to the streets and rioting.
I wonder if they remember what happened to them the last time they tried that shit 🤔.

There are a lot of armchair generals on the Internet. Unfortunately not limited to the Republican side of things.

But the Republican ones tend to be bigger hypocrites since they usually condemn rioting when anyone else does it, especially if they aren’t white.

This was abundantly clear to everyone on January 6th. It was so blatant that, at the time, most conservatives claimed the entire event was actually undercover BLM and “Antifa”.

Then the convictions showed it truly was all Trump supporters, and now none of them are talking about it.

Are you really expecting all the people posting this stuff to pay for the flight from Russia?

      ?

These are likely the same ones that pushed 1/6 and spent a lot of time telling people to do it.

The reason they’re still doing that, is they weren’t the ones to actually show up.

They’re not gonna stop doing it, because they didn’t get any consequences from last time.

All they gotta do is keep making these posts saying someone should do something. And chances are some idiots will do it.

Like, remember that main old guy from American History X?

He got naive kids to do the dirty work, so he was able to spend decades doing it without any consequences.

For real life example, just look at Alex Jones. How long it took for him to even go to court, and how he’s still not in jail or paying any judgements.

But he’s still running his mouth and telling others to do the work.

Pepperidge farm remembers. The crowd that was all about “back(ing) the blue” managed to kill a police officer and four of themselves.

Yeah, and I guess the trans people that end up dead in the balance will just be considered sacrifical lambs then?

It’s ok though, we’ll make sure to use the correct pronouns at their wakes.

Conservatism consists of exactly one proposition: There must be in-groups whom the law protects but does not bind, alongside out-groups whom the law binds but does not protect. - Francis M. Wilhoit

And the world was shocked because he is someone the law protects but does not bind.

Trump is currently being protected by Supreme Court justices who are literally deciding whether he’s bound by any law. You can bet that same conservative majority would make sure he’s protected by all of them.

Favourite part of the whole article:

A spokesperson for Truth Social said, “It’s hard to believe that Reuters, once a respected news service, has fallen so low as to publish such a manipulative, false, defamatory and transparently stupid article as this one purely out of political spite.”

“You never saw what you thought you saw. And even if you did, it was entirely justified and your interpretation was extreme.”

…thus showing that the “Law and Order” party was never about law, they just want a particular kind of order- that is, a hierarchy wherein people below them on the status-ladder know not to try to hold them accountable to anything, including the law or even plain decency.

To them, the law is the cudgel to keep the poors and plebes in their place- low in the order- never to be applied to them.

That’s Republicanism and that left the US Republican Party years ago.

Now it’s all about Conservatism through any means. And it’s not even pure Conservatism: it’s heavily tainted with Tribalism.

It’s you that’s smoking. The establishment hates insurrections, horrible optics. Alphabet agencies are absolutely keeping tabs on a few select gentlemen.

          A few select gentlemen

          Is not the same as

they’re all being watched carefully after January 6th, any of them make a single false move and they’re in jail.

Also, the alphabet agencies love a good insurrection. they just don’t like insurrections against them. which may or may not have been the case on Jan 6 (remember how there was an insignificant LEO presence in DC that day? despite a plethora of warnings of violence. People in those agencies made sure that was the case.)
