Even funnier, Yandex CEO fled to Israel after the SMO started.

But it is true that Yandex has way less censorship than Google. A while back I was looking for an old Politico article about AOC firing her chief of staff and replacing him with a Kamala Harris foreign policy aide. The article had been readily searchable for years on Google, until recently. I eventually got frustrated and tried my luck with Yandex, and lo and behold it came up immediately.

Citing the fact that she does not want to live under a state that exhibits aggression to its neighbours, no less.

I follow a Russian girl on Instagram.

In August 2023, she made a post from Tel Aviv: “I am finally in a country that is happy and peaceful”

The next post in December 2023 showed that she already went back to Moscow and has been there since.

He has been extensively trained in countering krav maga, which is centered on “What if I shoot someone while they’re trying to disable me by punching my elbow.”

I switched off Duck Duck Go when the Ukraine war started and they proudly began censoring Russian websites. (Tweet, lib news). If they’re gonna do that what’s the point in using them over Google or Bing? Plus they were advertising on the local radio in my tiny shithole town, which seemed like a red flag for a “less corporate” search engine.

Yandex has been good, mostly glad that it seems better at including the more niche keywords I search instead of ignoring them like Google does

    Yandex is fantastic for piracy.

Don’t tell the other instances but I’ve noticed that it indexes Hexbear and I’ve seen Hexbear appear surprisingly high up in search results in Yandex lmao

Is a person’s nationality an issue?
It’s their opinion on issues that matter, right?

          Or is their opinion bad?

Considering that he was born in the USSR but immigrated to Israel later in life, yes it does matter that he is Israeli. He is of the opinion that it’s good to settle in a country that floats on top of Palestinian blood.

              Wait, ‘he’?

Haha. There are multiple Yandex higher-ups who moved to Pissrael, then.

At the very least there are Arkady Volozh and Elena Bunina. Both are/were CEOs of Yandex.

She literally moved to Pissrael because she ‘[didn’t] want to live under a state that exhibits aggression to its neighbours’.
Do I need to remind you that Pissrael is a genocidal settler-colonial project founded on mass displacement, killing, and torture of indigenous people, and where the genocide is happening very visibly and actively right now?
