Even aside from the absurdity of objecting to tampons, the idea that boys were “forced” to do anything is ridiculous. The tampons are just there. She makes it sound like Walz held boys and gunpoint and made them go to a convenience store, buy tampons, and then put them in the school restrooms.

But I guess that’s what I should expect from a professional liar.

You’d have to start with breaking into foxnews and fuck them all up. Just sue their asses for misinformation until they start talking about the minimum wage and single-payer healthcare.

It’s funny to me because the recent press conference made it pretty clear that the Trump/Vance campaign is aware they have massive problem with women. This is why he came out and attempted to rewrite the narrative around the repeal of Roe.

So, it was really important that he get out and find a way to win with women and escape his past on Roe. Meanwhile someone else at the campaign is pushing all this tampon attack line garbage.

Tell me you don’t support or understand women’s issues without telling me you don’t understand women’s issues. It’s comical how poor his campaign and the wider GOP strategy is being handled. He forced out all the reasonably competent GOP strategists and he is left with clowns.

The Walz stolen valor attack line is the same thing… It opens up harder on Vance way than Walz. Their military records aren’t favorably comparable for Vance.

I have a few veterans friends who were big Trump supporters. Two of the three have decided to bow out this round. They say they can’t vote for Harris which I get. They are hard 2nd amendment advocates and I can respect that. Now they feel like they can’t vote for Trump because of the swift boating on Walz. I’m surprised, but both of them are just planning to sit this one out now. The third is desperately trying to get them to reconsider. They were already on the edge based on Trump’s “last time you need to vote” comments. I think the disrespect to Walz was the final straw.

It’s crazy to watch this guy find new and innovative ways to implode.

    Just insane.

As a veteran, I’d like to throw out a few more reasons. Captain bone spurs is a draft dodger, and on top of that, called McCain (an American hero) a loser for getting caught. Also essentially called all POWs losers, and all soldiers/veterans suckers. During his time in office, he didn’t help us AT ALL. Beyond that, many of my fellow veterans are homeless. Way too many of us. And now they’re targeting the homeless as an entire group as being illegal, just so they can be rounded up and be made into slave labor. It’s abhorrent that ANY currently active or separated veterans could EVER support that POS.

I assume her point here is to stoke transphobia for clout. There are lots of phobic/ignorant parents who think queer is contagious or a conscious decision people make. They fear that exposure to queerness will make their kids queer. She’s further farming for outrage by making the restroom the boys’ room and the age (4th grade) one that is typically pre-pubescent.

The takeaway here is this is cynical propaganda that plays on the fears of the ignorant, for no purpose other than grabbing eyeballs.

Exposure makes kids aware that it’s okay to be different, to be who they feel like they are, and to explore who they may be.

      Bigots don’t like this.

Yeah. It doesn’t make kids queer, it just makes queer kids more comfortable expressing themselves, and they want people to just repress.

Not every school is designed perfectly where boys and girls bathrooms are right next to each other. So that’s one reason to have them in both. Also, girls bathrooms usually have the longest line. If a girl is having a emergency she’s going to go to the first available room. Another reason right there… Oh and some girls may feel more comfortable in the boys bathroom for a number of reasons. (bullies, girls bathroom dirty/unusable for some reason, etc.) the fact that we have separate gender bathrooms in the first place is laughable at best. We should be teaching kids to respect bathroom etiquette regardless what everyone else’s genitals look like.

So? What harm is it doing?

Best case: personal products become more available so kids who need something harmless can get it. Oh no, societal collapse.

Worst case: you’re all right, it’s a huge performative stunt meant to push some ideology, and you all are falling for it hook, line and sinker by getting outraged.

Either way, outrage here is dumb. People trying to make people question it are dumb. The fact that we have literally millions of public, gender-neutral bathrooms across the country that have vending machines that dispense condoms, tampons, mouthwash, cologne and other personal products, and nobody has said SHIT about those, should be all you need to understand that any negative engagement you’re feeling here is a trick, a scam, a grift or manipulative tactic for some rich fucks to win an election.

      I wonder what’s more likely here… I wonder…

Male friend of mine had a sister in a lower year at school. She hadn’t gotten her period yet but she had an emergency pack with her in the event it started for the first time at school. As a good big brother he also kept stuff in his back pack in the event it was easier or more discreet for her to go ask him.

I remember him telling us and some of our other male friends asking if we’ve every gotten caught out without any products - when we said yes, a few of them said they were happy to carry some around in the event we needed it.

There are all kinds of reasons to normalise natural bodily functions so that all children can grow up less ignorant and with more compassion for their fellow human being.

Unless you have friends who menstruate. :b You sound like you have no clue what it’s like to need a tampon and not have one. It’s truly a miserable experience and a friend with any sort of menstrual product on hand is a gift.

It’s so easy to do this and everyone benefits. Boys and men can help girls and women with issues and vice versa, it doesn’t have to be weird. Not to mention trans people exist.

I forsee some being wasted at the beginning and then them eventually becoming the backup supply when the girls restroom runs out.

That is provided you don’t have some loser administrator just never refilling the boys room because of the waste.

Free tampons usually suck, so most people prefer to buy their own but are glad they are there in an emergency.

Just look at the box, then grab the same one on your next grocery run. Do the same with her other feminine products. Put them in the cabinets where they go. Act like it was nothing. Make her wonder how long it was since she bought them herself.

Advanced mode: Figure out her clothing sizes and what colors work for her, what fabrics feel nice, then get her a cute blouse or dress. Don’t make it a big deal.

See what happens. One of my best friends mastered this. Dude cleaned up in college.

After 24 years of marriage if she isn’t interested in me buying her pads, I don’t think it’s the best surprise present. I’ve bought far more embarrassing things for her regarding body stuff when she’s needed them, so I think she just doesn’t want me to do it. It’s not like she hides them. I mean, she’s also never asked me to buy shampoo or soap or whatever for her. She would rather get exactly what she wants than rely on me to do it for that sort of thing.

I’ll probably screw it up and buy the wrong ones even if I look at the box. And she’d probably be right with my memory.

And to be fair, I haven’t gone out of my way to ask her to buy hygiene stuff for me either. We both got in the habit of shopping for ourselves for those sorts of things and it’s working out for us.

Honestly, it’s so inconsequential that, as I said, I didn’t even realize I’d never done it until I thought about it.

If you mean my friend, that was in reference to buying his girlfriend a cute blouse now and then. He did the same for friends, his sister, and mom. He wasn’t a fuckboy buying tampons to pick up women. Word got around that he was top shelf. He was funny, charming, considerate, honest, and knew his way around the women’s rack at Goodwill. If a relationship stopped working, he was seldom single long.
