It’s not really an “assumption,” but here are some reasons:

- Pretty.

- Doesn’t dress & look & behave like a man and/or androgynous being.
All those things are extremely anti-SJW, as SJWs hate all of those things vehemently and constantly demand that they be removed from all games and that no woman should ever be allowed to be those things.
And to a large extent, they have succeeded in achieving that goal, and successfully uglified, masculinized, and androgynized all female characters in ~95% of modern games.
Hence why games like the Vagrant and the ones cited in the OP are now the rare exception rather than the rule.
