i see this as an absolute win. at least maybe i could get sloshed and laugh if the ai slop actually becomes completely nonsensical or something, even alcohol doesnt make any of the shit slop that comes out these days fun

I’d be more welcoming of it as trash for trash’s sake if it didn’t burn additional forests and dry up additional lakes to make the trash.

yeah that’s fair. what’s really maddening is while I’m sure the vid ai isnt close yet I dont even think the huge data centers even improve that much from what you can already run on a home pc with the open source models for llms or image generation (i.e. something like kobold ai and stable diffusion). like you spend 10,000x more electricity for like a 100x improvement at most (exact numbers not remotely accurate just off the top of my ahead to illustrate my point)

It"s no fun for me because there’s nothing behind it. You can’t laugh at ai slop because it’s just nothing. Random movements in a stream. It’s not chuds being twits, or liberals being up their own asses. Laughing at bazingas for thinking ai noise is art is only fun a few times and those times were years ago.

How long is a kaleidescope really entertaining before the random motion of shapes and colors grows dull?

Imagine if they didn’t chicken out from the backlash to The Last Jedi and actually expanded on the plot? Made it an actual trilogy?

Ten thousand Star Destroyers® each with a Death Star® superlaser is already a slop basis to start with.

How about ten thousand giant spinning many-edged planet-cutting lightsabers, each wielded by a cyberpunkerino waifu? so-true

I guarantee the hogs will think they’ve entered a golden age of nonpolitical hog slop consumption… but that ennui will build all the same, and they’ll blame anything and everything except the source of it: art got their attention in the first place because it was different and interesting and pandering alone isn’t enough. They won’t change, but they’ll also be increasingly dissatisfied and maybe burn studios down or something.

Now you’ve got me wondering about how Nazis perceived the shlocky “wholesome” movies that the Nazi regime kicked out for entertainment during the Reich.

Pixar’s Pete Docter and Ghibli’s Hayao Miyazaki Disagree on the Value of Test Screenings

Following the premiere of Inside Out 2, which has performed well both domestically and overseas, Docter discussed many different elements of the creation process, including test screenings, which are used to gauge how audiences react to certain elements or scenes. When Docter asked Miyazaki if Ghibli holds test screenings for its films, Miyazaki stated that it does not. “No, it is impossible for all viewers to understand a film,” he explains. “We are the ones who take responsibility, so we can’t leave it to someone who happens to be there.”

It’s a coin toss between a slick mobile game like all-ages veneer where it has that bland Disney look, or it goes for the type of perpetually adolescent hogs ages 14-88 that call themselves “grown-ass adults” and it’ll instead try to become Gambo with a sloppy slathering of awooga libertarian-alert hypersus with nonpolitical characteristics. us-foreign-policy

It’s going to happen, isn’t it? Red Skull is going to become an avenger?

Can’t wait until Twitter clucks about how Hollywood finally dropped the ‘political crap’ as Red Skull solos all of Wakanda without a scratch on him.
