Watch the documentary, Class Action Park, if you can. Solid gold.

Behind the Bastards and The Dollop both featured the park on their podcasts. If you’re interested in other flavors.

Downloaded, thanks for mentioning - I never considered they might have an episode on it

According to the linked article, 6 people died at Action Park.

According to a personal injury law firm, 83 people have died at Disney parks. OSHA fined Disney in 5% of deaths, and further 14% were settled by Disney. Since settled means guilty but rich, we can safely assume Disney is responsible for at least 15 deaths.

Even a park run by drunk teenagers killed fewer people than Disney, so that’s cool.

All Disney parks together see a lot more people than just the one Action Park, and Disneyland alone opened long before Action Park. It would be a lot more interesting to see the proportion of visitors who die, not just the magnitude.

I think it’s more interesting that a company with the size and popularity of Disney can get away with killing at least 15 people, whereas action park got shut down and cleaned up after only 6.
