They could 100% afford them, it’s not like this is a small company facing bankruptcy. The fact that they need to keep cutting costs in order to keep growing infinitely does not make it right
I’m not saying that they’re right. I’m just stating that they exclusively care about money. If they can save 500k by firing all the fact checkers and also drive engagement with the ragebait comments under controversial content, it’s a double win for them
Shocking how quickly people will fall in line with a burgeoning dictatorship. Everyone thinks they are an Oscar Schindler but really they are a Hugo Boss.
Truckloads of lies, halftruths, uncertainties, alternative facts and all those other useless statements drown the truth until it becomes almost impossible to discern it.
History has been there before. Due to advances in communication this time will be worse.
Be smart and believe what you have evidence for. Never spread something without making sure.
