I can guarantee they just throw every cart there in some random direction to get their car out.

Maybe it’s like the grocery store I go to where you have to put money in the carts to unlock and they all lock together.

That’d make it 10x more annoying, but certainly still possible for them to be a dickhead about getting their car out. They’d just make it some other fuckers problem by chaining them in the middle of the lot.

It absolutely infuriates me when people in the Costco parking lot don’t use the cart corrals, and just tip the front 2 wheels up on some curb. It’s so fucking lazy and selfish, but then that’s the Costco for you.

Also, what kind of asswipe parks in the cart corral? Oh, right, Costco.

Wow, I’ve never seen that. I might just go around and collect all the loose carts to put them behind that car.

Going to be real, considering the lot has empty spots this feels like a dementia or related condition thing.

I’m pretty sure there’s an open space in the picture 3 or 4 cars down. Either way, there were better decisions they could make

I’m late to learning to drive, and I fear I could do this without realizing I’ve done it. But after this, I can tell you I wouldn’t do it again.

    That’s a great first step.

Second step is popping back in the store and getting the cheapest bike chain locks, or wire locks for luggage, and attaching the trolleys, closest to the car, to each other and the coral. Three locks should do it.

Third step would be even more vindictive. Maybe crossing some line, IDK. But while in the shop, pick up some nails or thumbtacks. I’ll let what you do with the tacks be up to your imagination, but I’ll bet the driver won’t notice stuff on the ground behind the wheels in their rage over the locked trolleys.

Fourth step, move your car so that the situation is observable, and wait. Do not let the driver know about your existence.

Exactly. Dumb person (or lazy? I don’t know how full the closer spots are), but also bad design. If you make it wide enough, idiots might take advantage of it. Also, the center divider helps keep the carts aligned, so workers don’t have to go in there and turn around dozens of sideways carts…

Lol I do appreciate the Costco size parking spaces. You’d have to be a really asshole to ding someone’s doors in a Costco parking lot.

Yeah, Costco on a Saturday afternoon is the Mad Max of parking lots. Karens will prowl the lot a dozen times in search of a good spot, just to avoid parking behind the building. And god save you if you manage to be closer to an open spot than they are; They feel like they “deserve” the spot because they’ve been prowling.

Put wheel dollies under the car and wheel it into the cart storage area inside the store.
