Anyone here have advice on loading a save file(drawn from a physical cart) in a current n64 emulator? I’m a newbie and couldn’t find an option in project 64.

Not 100% sure this would work, but what I’d try is to create a new save within the game on the emulator (using the game’s functionality, not a savestate) and shut down the emulator. Then find the resulting save file and replace it with the file from the physical cart, giving it the same file name as the file you’re replacing. The emulator should automatically find that and load it when you start up the game.

This is the one that requires the GameCube disc, right? Or is there a way around that?

Ironically I once owned that but it’s long since been lost.

Oh really? I thought that wouldn’t work for some reason. Maybe their instructions just confused me. I’m not very tech savvy for a lemming.

The instructions are trying extra hard to avoid any semblance of acknowledging the existence of piracy to keep the Nintendo lawyers away. Annoying, but necessary and understandable

Can someone explain what a “randomizer” is for a very slow guy who is a lot like me?
