    lol. This site is comedy.

A lot of MAGAs registered in my county. A county Trump only got 21% in.

Why the fuck would you slap a MAGA sign on your business when 80% of your potential customers hate that shit?

They got a majority of votes. Unless you live in a deep blue area it’s likely to get you more customers than it costs, at least for now. Most customers won’t care either way, they’re at your business to buy your goods/services, not as a political statement.

Those signs will go down fast except for the very political and deep red areas once we’re in a post-Trump world.

Smart people don’t vote Trump, but that doesn’t mean they’re not jerks willing to take advantage of dumbasses that do.

Gotta say, I love the idea of a private company being called ‘PublicSquare’… and the irony of this utterly whooshing over the heads of literally everyone involved.

They would all arrive at the market and insist on being able to open carry slung AR15s, and then be utterly baffled by the concept of a weapons check.

Like… even in ‘the West’ (yeehaw cowboys West) it was pretty common to have a weapons check at bars… because they quickly learned that if you don’t do that, well, patrons don’t enjoy the risk of getting their balls blown off while trying to throwback a shot of whiskey, because two other idiots nearby got into a fight.

Literally the fabled Tombstone, AZ, did this, as a city wide ordinance.

I’m in a place that is the complete opposite. Slap a MAGA sticker on it and people will pay extra.

And having done business in those areas, I know not to hang a “Feel the Bern” sign up. I’m Switzerland from 9-5.

Any way we could keep a historical record of these businesses? I can foresee them doing a full cleansing of their internet presence as they lose business.

I’m worried they’ll pull another 2008, where everyone decided they hadn’t voted for W in 2004 so nothing was their fault, they’d been ‘liberteranians’ all along.

We need to remember who supported him, this matters.

This is definitely an incomplete list. There is a gym I drive by about twice a week that has a “hard to kill” banner with a picture of Trump after his first assassination attempt. I’m sure that place is full MAGA.

The business owner has to sign up, and pay, to be included. That gym owner either doesn’t know about it, or is too cheap to sign up

So…Instead of becoming a BETTER business, they decided to HIDE the evil business?

This could use some governmental oversight. Oops, wrong government. NEVERMIND.

Looks like it’s just one particular Scheels that’s on there. I’d guess the franchisee is a dickhead, not the overall corporation (any more than corporations are usually dickheads anyway).

My local Scheels is not on there. In fact, relatively few local businesses are, which is surprising since I live in a pretty red state (though the city is pretty purple, and only getting bluer as time goes on).

Odd, the Scheele’s by us is not, interesting that a big chain like that would allowed certain locations to sign up for something like that

Only had two places in my area (heavy POC area so… Awkward), but I’ve left my “review.” I’ve never been to either place, but at least I know who they are so I can keep avoiding.

      Want to support MAGA? Tough.

Damn a restaurant I like is on this stupid site. It’s surprising because most of the stuff in my area that’s on here is like realtors, explicitly right wing businesses with patriot in the name, or like when you go in there it’s all thin blue line flags and shit. This is just a normal restaurant with normal decor. I’m not really surprised the owners are apparently Trumpy, pretty much all the business owners in my area are, I’m just surprised to see them on this site

I wanted a similar site but to track houses with Trump signs up. Have to upload pictures for the record, and cross referenced with MLS listings/sales so everything is expunged on property transfer.

No particular reason to keep this info around. Just a curiosity.

Hey bozo, not wanting to normalize creating lists of people based on politics is not “feeling sowwy for Nazis”. Pay the fuck attention, this type of thing in this type of climate doesn’t end well.

Businesses aren’t people and we’re allowed to vote with our wallets if nothing else. Plus, the red hats made the site, dummy. We’re just using the list they gave us.

You’re right. We shouldn’t be creating lists.

Since they’re Nazis, the only thing we should be doing is killing them. Them, and anyone who collaborates or protects them.

USA voter registration including party affiliation are public record. https://protectdemocracy.org/work/why-is-voter-registration-data-public/

Building the sort of database you suggest is a very double edge sword though. Use of personal data to persecute people is a tool of fascist. Persuading people as it is currently used by candidates and their proxies is arguably part of democratic (the arguably part is that humans don’t make rational decisions due to cognitive biases, so it is not a fair choice if presented with manipulated information), but it is a way to distribute directed information in this modern age.

We need community and more engagement, not less and isolation. I empathize with the outrage response, but suggest it’s worth being careful in actions that take the form of the enemy.

Wouldn’t you need to put your name and other tracking in there

Which then ICE would then watch you and do who knows what to an American citizen
