Peter Parker is Jewish. His mother, Stan Lee, was Jewish. This makes him part of the tribe.

Idk about canon but the actress is of Jewish descent. For the record, so is Raimi

Another older brother, Sander, died at 15 in an accidental drowning in Israel; Raimi has said that the trauma knitted the remaining family closer together and “colored everything he’s done for the rest of his life”.[9] Raimi also mentioned that Sander first introduced him to Spider-Man, igniting his love for comics.

I just read it as “guys who are douchebags often say hello in languages they don’t otherwise understand.”

I did work with an individual that liked to say ‘ciao bella’ when he left. I’m glad he got fired. Not because of that, but because he didn’t do the job which caused other people to do more work.

I used to know a guy who would regularly say “si” instead of “yes” in English conversations. He also wasn’t Spanish/Hispanic. It was super confusing because I thought he was interjecting to see “See…” instead of just responding affirmatively.

I know someone who says “true” for “yes” and “false” for no.

“Hey, you wanna go get some lunch?” “True.”

Once he started doing that, it took a conversation or two before I realized what he was doing.
