Best YTP ever, but German
Almost all my iconic video favorites aren’t YouTube original content (though they have been uploaded to YouTube).
Like Slackcircus’s Fabulous Secret Powers
Not sure if this counts, but like any earlier time period, I’d be too young to be on the internet so its “classic” to me, but anyways: my favorite is probably this Vsauce video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GDrBIKOR01c
I’m not sure if this is like #1 favorite, but probably a Top 10. Vsauce is one of my favorite channels. Videos kinda give a mini-existential crisis but also shows how cool existence is, in a sort of nihilistic way.
What a fun question. Made me nostalgic for early social media days.
Early YouTube: Daft Punk Hands
Pre-Youtube: The End of the World
I want it that way. 19 years ago. Probably the first YouTube I ever watched.
Numa Numa predates YT. I don’t think it should count in this case.
Daft Bodies will never get old. Those girls couldn’t dance but they could synchronize. Some of the best of white girls being dorks on the internet that there ever was.
Harder Better Faster Stronger
Best paired with Daft Hands
I still quote this several times a week.
20 years on my partner and I still quote The End of the World occasionally.
That and https://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/285267 was great back in the day. Before even youtube.
Fucking early ass Neil Cicierega, he has come so far!
A classic: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZZ5LpwO-An4
HEYYEYAAEYAAAEYAEYAA
Here’s my favorite deep cut. It was the first video I ever saw on YouTube: https://youtu.be/RO10s_HK6d0
David Blaine street magic, makes me wheeze everytime! https://youtu.be/wTqsV3q7rRU
