I haven’t been hyped over a game since Fallout 4, but this is a three-way mix of three things I love and I can barely sit still right now.
Which is ironic, because Fallout 4 is the game that caused me to no longer be hyped for anything else that Bethesda had coming. Fallout 76 and Starfield didn’t disappoint, because I was expecting them to be shit from a company that had lost its way, and they delivered spectacularly.
The Expanse is by far my favorite Sci-Fi universe ever. I’m not sure how it’ll go for Owlcat, but damn does this make me excited.
I recently did a rewatch of The Expanse and as much as I enjoy it generally, I felt like the last season was meh.
The grit was gone and felt like the show rushed near the end.
Maybe it’s just me though.

I know it’s been said a thousand times, but the books really are immensely better than the show. And they have a proper ending! The last 3 unadapted books are arguably the best part of the series, and Alex is there since there was no dipshit actor to get himself fired.
TIL that Cas Anvar got fired. Damn…
Of the principle characters, I felt like he was one of the stronger actors, with Amos (Wes Chatham) being the strongest.
He absolutely deserved it.
He’s a creep, and he also fucking stalked a friend of mine for like 2 years.
Please don’t fuck this up… Please don’t fuck this up… Please don’t fuck this up… Please don’t fuck this up… Please don’t fuck this up… Please don’t fuck this up… Please don’t fuck this up…
Narrator: indeed, they did fuck it up
He did what? Quick, kill Alex
Had some of the details super close, then screw up others. Hopefully it’s good though.
- She tips the “bulb” of drink despite having just snatched it from the float beside her (whats that gonna do?).
- The ship spins to decelerate (would have been done long before “just arriving”), then spins again under fire despite not being slow enough. It should be dodging and returning fire whilst burning to decelerate, it’s why the turrets are turrets after all.
- The station is under zero or very low g - but the drone needs constant downward firing jets to hover in place?
Thanks! I had noticed only 2.
Then I told my husband about your list and he was like ”that seems like splitting hairs”. Terrible.
in other contexts, your husband could very well have a point…but not when it’s about the expanse.
when the entire point is realism, these little things, even when they seem pedantic, become jarring.
after all; it’s a series by space nerds, for space nerds! ;)
Thanks, seems extremely irritating for a franchise that — except for the protomolecule (and related sufficiently advanced alien shenanigans) and the Epstein drive — prides itself on its realistic physics; you’ve convinced me to blacklist both the game and the publisher on Steam.
