Aren’t they also blaming Putin for leaving them no choice but to support Saudi Arabia, pretending that the US would have put their foot down and stopped all the bad stuff Saudi Arabia is doing if only it wasn’t for that devious dastardly Putin?

Getting mad at the US for eternally waging war, therefore eternally worsening climate change:geordi-no:

Getting mad at Putler for one war, which has completely ruined any plans to fight climate change:geordi-yes:

Gruesome Gavin is giving car owners like $12B because gas prices are high. He’s also making transit free for three months which would only cost $750M for the whole state.

Liberals are unserious about climate change.

If the Democrats really cared, they could be using this war fervor to push through a new energy plan, reorient to modern nuclear power technology, and sell it as “Ending Dependency on Russian Oil”.

Unfortunately “ending dependency on Russian Oil” is already a talking point with neoliberals. And it’s an argument for more fracking.

As with all things liberal there is a grain of truth here. War is SUPER bad for the climate and this is really fucking us more than we really need on that front. That being said it, it’s not like the bourgeois were going to do anything about climate change anyway so using this for pearl clutching is just disingenuous; not to mention the biden admin actively killing us all by ramping up fossil fuel exploitation contracts.
