I’m at 50% brightness with reading mode/night light turned on and I had to squint my eyes to read what the workspace names are.

This one is nice. Don’t see it being too burny, just nice and toasty, since it’s not pure white eye-searing fire.

The only reason I could possibly imagine people like light mode is if they work in bright environments or use an e-ink monitor. Otherwise your eyes would be on fire quickly.
