Parents, this is why you don’t let your children dress like crayons before going out!

      People are down voting you.

I will have you know I snorted and burst out laughing.

I do sometimes have a dark sense of humour… But common guys this was funny. Marines eat crayons therefore might be attracted to them.

It’s a good thing I care even less about downvotes on Lemmy than I did on Reddit

Oh I see, I thought it was some stupid conservative thing about the way kids are dressing with pride colors.

It was clearly a joke… nobody actually dresses like a crayon.

“Nobody actually dresses like a crayon” is a bold statement. How do you explain THIS? https://shorturl.at/dnowG

Its good that she returned safely. Though it sounds like she found them.

“She found them”, or she was found during a room inspection or wandering the hallway by an NCO on duty. Probably an NCO with the common sense to ask what in the fuck a 14 year old girl is doing wandering around the barracks on a military installation.

I was in the Army. I’ve reported underaged girls in the barracks to superiors before.

Huumm… you mean to say soldiers commonly kidnap/take somehow underage girls into bases? Does the military attract a higher percentage of nonces??

          2009: http://www.cnn.com/2009/CRIME/03/10/washington.barracks.death/index.html

The average age of new enlisted accessions are 18.5 years old for the US Marines, and 19.7 for the US Army.

87% of the new recruits are 18-24 years old.

A 2005 study showed that more than 40% of new recruits came from rural areas.

More than a few Woodersons join the military.

Every position is of power attracts more nonces.

I guess, but being a soldier is hardly a position of power is it? Are people attracted to the military because of authority?

I never felt soldiers had any authority over me or anything lol

If a soldier told me to do something, I’d just laugh. Even a general or something like that tbh.

Do “civilian” people generally feel the military has any authority over them/non-military things?

I hope that’s the case because one does not typically walk on to a military base without being challenged.
