            But you should: Its people that make fascism possible, not monsters. Thats what make them so dangerous. The friendly coworker with his inappropriate Jokes, the old Lady that thinks you shouldn’t help refugees as long as [national] poor people are suffering, etc. Thats the front where fascism should be fought first. The moment they start waving their flags is a testament to all the times people didn’t tell other people to stop spreading hate. But you’re right: thats also the moment to show up in great numbers and show them that their ideas are not welcome.

      Ah yes, the classic “framing eliminating human rights for minorities and others as a ‘disagreement’”

        Oh, these fuckheads disagree, all right. They disagree that certain people should exist.

          If only Nazis use violence as you are implying, then the only solution to Nazis violence is submission. We’ve seen exactly how that turns out. Your implication is invalid and baseless.

          I don’t think people hated nazis because they punched people. There was something else. Was it the hologram? No… hololive? Yes, but no. Holodomor? No, that was another guy. Any chance you remember?

    While I cannot officially condone such overt and violent responses, there will be certain news reports that I will listen to with great amusement.

      I dislike the narrative that the problems with Canada stem from the states. We export a huge amount of fascists and bigots per capita. These people live among us and it would be a mistake to brush them off as America’s influence.

    I’m not really capable of violence, even against property. I live rather far from there but I’ll try to go, if only to witness things or be another body on the side of the counter protestors.

      I’m guessing the anti-LGTBQ marches going on in Canada today. Million March for Children they’re calling it but there definitely isn’t a million people marching, just a handful of bigots.

      “The only good fascist is a very dead fascist”

      Not disregarding (and 100 % agree with) your comment, but it’s a very good song by Propaghandi if you like punk rock.

      At the very least they need to be exposed as too weak to do anything so they can’t build a following. Fascism works on emotional power, so an emotional solution is needed.

      @jernej @seahorse
      My condolences. I got straight up banned from reddit for pointing out that violence has historically been the most efficient/effective treatment for fascism, and that its likely that the longer we wait, the worse everything will be.
