I mean your body is a bone mech with meat armor piloted by some salty pudding.
Not only is it Mecha, it’s also Super Robot.
And not just because the Titans are like mechas, it has all the other tropes.
Is this a controversial opinion? I thought this was a popular view of SnK since 2013
