    In Australia window shading by either eaves or awnings is required for every new build. There’s government regulations to make sure a certain level of energy efficiency is met before you get approval to build.

      yeonmi-park In amerikkka there are private local pseudo-governments which prohibit awnings in many neighborhoods on aesthetic grounds.

      There are still days where I hide out in the Dan Murphy’s walk in fridge or just lie on the floor sweating, even with awnings :(
