I always feel like the issue with the US is wanting to ban things, but not really solve the root of the problem. Like the issue is not TikTok = China, it’s big companies can collect data. Like I don’t want tiktok to get banned since it is kinda useful and seems to be better than what Google and Meta is releasing.

Exactly, if the problem is with privacy violations then all companies should be held to the same standard.
