    Well.

    Step one. Bitcoin gets emoji.
Step two. Young people and other folks with fragile minds think it’s legit because it has an emoji.
Step three. Poor people lose their money.
Outcome: The rich get rich, the poor stay poor.

Alternatively: Step one. Bitcoin gets emoji.
Step two. Young people and other folks with fragile minds think it’s legit because it has an emoji.
Step three. Crypto currencies keep burning through resources as if it was a Brazilian rainforest.
Outcome: The few lucky ones will feel really stupid living in their bunkers after the collapse.

Edit: Way to miss the point, downvoters. My point about emojis being “non-political” doesn’t mean to say “no politics.” I means “include whatever the fuck people talk about these days, be it in favor or against.” Just like the dictionary. Should dictionaries exclude the word “bitcoin,” then? Or am I being downvoted by Christians?

I don’t think emojis should be the place to have a socio-political discussion. Emojis should reflect how people popularly communicate.

Having said that, in regards of impressionable folks:

If Christianity gets to have a cross emoji (which is a torture device, let’s remember), then so should Bitcoin. And I don’t even like either!

I don’t think emojis should be the place to have a socio-political discussion.

        have some entirely non-political emojis:

        🗳️: BALLOT BOX WITH BALLOT

        🇹🇼: FLAG: TAIWAN

        🇵🇸: FLAG: PALESTINIAN TERRITORIES

        🗽: STATUE OF LIBERTY

        🤡: FACE OF “NON-POLITICAL” PERSON

Good for you. I never said I’m “non-political.” That’s a red herring, but just to be clear: did you miss the part where I said that emojis should represent what people think or talk about? All those examples you put are exactly what I meant. And did you miss the part in which I mentioned Christianity? Because if you think that Christianity is a non-political thing today, then I got news for you.

BACK to the fucking discussion: You’re proving my point that the emoji bitcoin should then be included. Because a large group of people talk about it, in pro- or against.

When does it just become free advertising though? Should McDonald’s get an arches emoji?

They’re stupid internet pictures people aren’t going to make financial decisions off of them.

There is a wine emoji… There is a cigarette emoji…

People with fragile mind could think that it’s perfectly healthy to consume that stuff…

There is even a bomb emoji… People with fragile mind could…
