I find sugar in black tea too rich and sweet, same as honey it seems…
You’re so used to just drinking everything black without any sweetener now that it’ll not be nice to drink
I couldn’t drink any hot drinks with sugar now either, it’s revolting lol

It’s an acquired taste, takes a while to get used to the bitterness

I used to assume it was bad but I’m currently on a black tea kick. I prefer it to herbal somehow.
I mean it’s fiiiiiine I guess, more bitter than black coffee tho…
Try brewing it for a shorter amount of time. It is not usually more bitter than black coffee for me. I find around 1:00-1:30 to be a good amount of time.
I leave the bag in pretty long and that shouldn’t be the case.
Bad tea I guess…
