firefox is free
I realize that, but it “costs” more in attention capital to use a website versus an app.
90% sure you can install hexbear as a PWA and use the firefox version as an app (I used to do it, haven’t used it in a while since I don’t have a smartphone)
regardless “just take an uber” is on a whole other level of shitty smugness, but I do get the annoyance, native apps tend to be a bit better designed/tested than web apps and offer some conveniences.
