I don’t think RFK ever stated any such intentions, Trump on the other hand did insinuate a possible cabinet position for RFK [1]. Knowing Trump though, I assume it was one of his many off-hand lies and not reflecting his intention - or indeed anything connected to actual reality, as is his wont.
But RFK (In that leaked phone call) said his plan was to drop put and endorse Trump right before the election.
