I like them both, and I actually feel like the chemistry between the two is perfect. Brace is funny and irreverent, but could go on for hours rambling if not reigned in. Liz is more serious and focused, and helps keep the discussion on track. I feel like one without the other just wouldn’t have the same appeal.
You’re right, their characters are the perfect foil for each other, doubly so when they occaisionally hand off who is playing the straight man in the duo.

The latest ep about the Olympics where they just talked about Brace hosting a hot dog eating contest (?) for like half an hour cracked me up so much
My partner and I were cracking up that whole bit. It kept going. And the whole time I was like “I genuinely do not know if this really happened”
“Amateur jackass disqualified from eating contest for hiding hot dogs in pockets” would make an amazing headline
Showing up to a hotdog eating contest just to eat normally and take a bunch of free food home would be a good bit.

There was an episode recently sans-Liz and Brace did an admirable job trying to stay on track but you really see her influence on that ep lol
