It’s not implausible that, among the enzymes in cat saliva, there are some which evolved to maintain the condition of the cat’s coat.
That, and cat hair is much finer.
But how will we know if it’s in our saliva if we never lick ourselves clean?
Get a tongue extension and try it out. For science.
