I moved from Fennec to Iceraven for some reason I can’t remember (frequency of updates?). Since I can’t remember off the top of my head I’ll just say, maybe consider Iceraven too and research whether it’s a good alternative for you.
Fennec is updated pretty frequently, generally following the Firefox release cycle with about 3-4 weeks delay. On average there is one update every month.
Iceraven has more options like I can hide that ugly homepage that Firefox made mandatory to see every time you open/return to the browser. also has the option to remove that permanent qr code camera shortcut next to the address bar.
