We just refuse to try harder to be less patriarchal bc “guy” has less syllables. And most of the time it’s preceded by “you” anyway, so not even shorter. (If I’m wrong, someone please correct me)
I take the time to correct myself in meetings, “when can you guys- ahem you all” - no apology, bc I’m doing my best, and demonstrating in my actions.
