We can’t even seize the memes back (from the megacorps of Twatter, Google, Facebook, Reddit, etc).
Yet I’m hopeful there will come a time people will see the fossy light, the means working for the people and the better of society.
And yet here we are, carving out our own little corner of the internet where profit doesn’t come first, and we share silly pictures and laugh together.
Big picture may suck, but don’t forget to appreciate the small good in front of you ❤️

That is literally an attempt to steal meaning from real Kharma. It works about as well as money. It’ll deceive people until they’re not people anymore.

Foss isn’t much better, it’s still very much subject to the whims of capitalism and hierarchy.
Yes, I’m sure we would be in for a shitshow or a couple, but a nicely federated media offers natural caps to the extend of corpo fuckery and can heal easier & more seamlessly.
Plus, you know, less support for shitty global business practices.
Are you hopeful in the “I wish this to happen” sense? Or the “I have reason to believe it’s happening” sense?
I’m not answering that question on the grounds of /checks notes to make sure it’s precise/ it will make me more sad and depressed.
