When they announced Tekken 8 they showed a normal game, singleplayer/vs battle/customization. But ~2 months after the launch they added a microtrasaction store for cosmetics with an approach similar to vbucks where you can’t buy things directly with money like “buy 500, 1000, 2000 tekken points for X$” and a battle pass, also they left some season 1 content out of the ultimate edition which was supposed to include all of it.
