A layered enforcement architecture has dramatically lowered the odds of success for prospective illegal immigrants. That’s why I feel comfortable declaring that the greatest mass migration crisis in U.S. history is over and the southern border is closed. At least for the next four years.
If it looks like it’s over, it’s only because Mexico is becoming an increasingly more appealing place to live than the US. Mexico may be about to have its own immigration crisis on its hands before long.
