Actually, I don’t. I’d rather this not turn into a spectacle, just you broke the law, you were found guilty, now go to jail. Having it become a whole crazy political war I don’t think would be good for the country.

This is a good point. We need the message sent to be that nobody is above the law.

It matters that he committed crimes, no matter how wealthy he is or who he knows. He should be treated like any other leader of a criminal organization.

Making it too much of a spectacle would feed into conspiracy theories about political motivation

To be fair, the leader of any other criminal organization being booked would be a public spectacle. I don’t know if it’s right in this case, but the fair thing to do would be to make a big deal out of it. People who do much less are paraded around, so why shouldn’t Trump? (I know the reasons why though.)

Everytime I was arrested I was arrested.

You know, spread your cheeks and cough type shit.

I thought the humiliation was part of the thing. And I certainly hope it is here at some point.

Humiliation should absolutely not be part of being arrested. You are still innocent at that point. Trump should not receive any special treatment though. We can hate Trump and the police at the same time.

The guy needs his ego deflated and to be treated like the average person.

Spreading your cheeks and coughing is what the average person goes through when arrested.

Should humiliation before conviction be a thing? No. But if I went through it for two victimless felonies, he can go through it for his fifty (or whatever we’re at now) for attempting to destroy our democracy.

Especially for someone who was so “pro police” (when they’re on his side) in office and advocated for police treating people worse. He should feel what it’s like and maybe he’d change his mind, though I doubt that. He would just say he was treated wrong, but the other people got what they deserved.

Agreed. I’m tired of people pretending that abuse in the Justice system is acceptable because they want to see someone punished. I also agree that Trump should go through the same process as everyone else.

I also get very uncomfortable when people joke about rape in prison. Dropping the soap jokes etc. Rape is not okay in any context, prison included. Convicted criminals do not deserve to have horrendous crimes committed against them just because they are being held accountable for their own crime. And that’s leaving aside the truly appalling number of innocent people being held in pretrial detention because they can’t afford bail.

I agree, It should not be.

But Trump thinks that the cops these days are not rough enough with their suspects.

At which part of him would you have the mug shot at? Mug with a handle? Which material? I didn’t know this was a thing, but I’m really excited now!

          1. I’m torn between face and balls, face would probably be more satisfying but balls are usually funnier.
          2. Let’s go no handle, the handle might impact accuracy.
          3. I’m kinda feeling silicone, I think I’d feel bad about something harder. Silicone would keep the event fun and cathartic, ceramic might lead to blood everywhere.

Fine by me. Silicone is acceptable, stamped steel would be ok as well. Hard but light and it would make a nice bonk sound.

I want the cop car, the cuffs, the officer holding him by the shoulder and pushing his head down through the open car door to guide him into the back seat.
