My post was really good — I used Idiocracy speech to get my scros to join me in LEMMY and not only was the post rejected but I earned a temporary ban at Reddit.
At this point there isn’t even a point in going back to leave a breadcrumb trail to be followed.
Just delete your account and uninstall reddit. Best decision I made. I left 7 years and around 300,000 karma. Now I just use reddit via Google searching for instructions or IT tips.
Agreed - Even before this, the only thing I really used reddit for was to search. It’s unfortunate that Reddit is really the only search option with a decent chance of surfacing the information I want to know - most search results if you don’t add “Reddit” at the end are AI slop, ads, or AI generated listicles.
Doesn’t deleting your account also delete all your posts and comments?
There are tools that you can use on your phone and I’m not sure about your computer that will go through your account and fill your old comments with gibberish
Sure. I have no interest in deleting my fantastic advice, in depth educational content, and deep philosophical musings though.
Then you can let the shit box that is Reddit make free money off your back for what appears to be eternity or until your advice is no longer relevant, but you do you, but I am here to judge, lol

Good to know. That’s a downside of Lemmy. When a users is deleted or permabanned, all their stuff is deleted.
