There needs to be a next election before any of that. I’m not being pessimistic; Trump is reenacting the Nazis’ consolidation for power and he will go after free and fair elections. Hell, he’s already started with the SAVE act. It’s up to Americans whether this is right before dawn or the start of a long, long night.
To say they hacked the tabulation machines to inject vote flipping code is a massive accusation, so that requires a lot of solid evidence and we don’t have the smoking gun right now, but we do have possibly some shell casings at the scene.
He’ll fight tooth and nail to make the next election go his way. Loss of majority means there’s a chance he’ll be held accountable and that’s an unacceptable proposition for him.
By the midterms elections will be either rigged beyond repair or Trump will have consolidated so much power that Congress will be nothing more than window dressing. As a wise man once said. I posted this elsewhere, but there’s already enough “weirdness” that the 2024 election should at least be double checked. I’m a senior data scientist and ETA’s reports are enough to at least raise my eyebrow. We need more comparisons to past elections to confirm that this is truly anomalous, but if that’s shown, then we’ve got some real shit to deal with.
