minus-square@[email protected]linkfedilink7•22 days agoSo… Shinzo Abe was breeding at length before he was shot?
minus-square@[email protected]OPlinkfedilink23•edit-222 days agoAn important component of “Abenomics” was trying to increase the fertility rate - Japan has been infamously careening towards demographic collapse (which ya know, might be connected to getting married/having kids torpedoing a career…) At least Abe was advocating consensual sex, I don’t know if his grandfather was so kind in Manchukuo. Abe certainly didn’t want anyone to know about what was happening in Manchukuo.

minus-square@[email protected]linkfedilink2•22 days agoSo how effective was that? I think the Japanese population is still declining, isn’t it?
minus-square@[email protected]OPlinkfedilink6•22 days ago Japan’s total population declined for the 15th straight year in 2023, dropping by more than a half-million people as the population ages and births remain low. Japan’s population is projected to fall by about 30%, to 87 million by 2070, when four out of every 10 people will be 65 or older.
