Vibe coding is such a weird phrase to begin with. Why would you admit that your app runs on pure vibes in the first place?

My LinkedIn feed is now full of Suggested posts from people with things like “Vibe Coding guru” in their strapline posting bullshit tracts about how Vibe Coding Isn’t What You All Think. I keep blocking them but LinkedIn keeps suggesting them.

I fucking hate LinkedIn… and the way peoples post their “achievements” like anybody care. “So proud to announce I was promoted to Assistant Regional Manager of Paper Clips”… and then 500 comments sayin “Congrats!” “So deserved!” “Ur an inspiration!!” STOP LYING!!

The worst is them “influencers” who post fake stories about how they hired a homeless man and now he’s the CEO of 7 companies. Or the “I woked 25 hours every day for 10 years and now I successful, you could to”, I get physically sick of reading that rubbish.

And don’t get me started on the polls!! “Do u think workers should get bathroom breaks? Yes/No/Maybe/LinkedIn Premium™️” WHO IS VOTING MAYBE?? It just engagement bait shit!!

Every morning I open the app and see people I went to school with pretending they Steve Jobs of selling insurance or whatever.

But the company I work for keep saying “we want engagement on our LinkedIn posts, please like them”… and I guess I’m not better that all the other corporate sheep

I think it started with people using AI to create little apps and tools to scratch their own itch, then it morphed into something completely different…

So yeah in the original context “Vibe Coding” is maybe not the worst name, but afterwards I dunno
