If it helps any Americans understand, the rest of the world treats US Politics in much the same way as you would a tyre fire. Keep an eye on it to make sure it’s not spreading, but be careful not to get too close or breathe too much in, otherwise you’ll make yourself ill.
I feel an increasingly strong ‘if you’re not with us you’re against us’-vibe going on in posts that have to do with america, might be because there is backlash by tankies and bots but this seems like an example of a genuine question being answered with a hostile reaction.
I am aware of it in the broad sense, but not the fine details of tracking certain disabilities and such. Thanks for giving me a pointer on what to look up. (Obligatory “I am not American.”)
